The Peace

Our shared imagination allows us to imagine that if we create a union bond with mutual non-atacking policy it will be a tool for spreading peace throughout the world. Or at least along this path goes the most common narrative. But, do we pay enough attention to what exactly are we building? To quote Orwell: Is the war new peace? Can a terror be stopped by acquiring greater force? Which forces allow us to drink our morning coffees and what is hidden behind the logos of our joint military efforts? The Peace is a wooden apropriation of a very well known sculpture made by Belgian architect Raymond Huyberechts in Brussels NATO headquarters.
